Adopted State

In 2014 I moved from the Midwest, where I had lived all my life, to Portland, Oregon. This series of images is a documentation process, of not just the specific state of Oregon, but the larger region of the Pacific Northwest. Moving was not just a change of landscape or people, but of culture, a mindset and way of being, only the Pacific Northwest can offer.
