What we see on the outside is a reflection of our inner selves...and there is a relationship between the medical materials and of course physical health. The medical materials represent the inner self being brought to the outside.
I use medical/scientific materials in relation to self portraits and the dichotomy created between the two subject matters speaks volumes about, the physical vs. the psychological and even more so how they overlap and affect each other both literally and metaphorically.
